Spring Semester Enrichment: What Charter Families Can Sort in October
October 27, 2026
A mom stopped by our table last week and asked, “Do I have to wait until January to sort out next semester?” We can’t speak for any charter’s calendar. We can tell you what to ask, though, and late October is a fine time to start asking.
Here’s where we stand. Flow Academy BJJ Riverside is an approved enrichment vendor with Mission Vista Academy, Excel Academy and Elite Academic Academy. Other charters can request vendor approval. What your funds cover, and how a request gets filed, is something your family’s Education Specialist confirms. We don’t guess at school policy.
Classes are paused during our move; we will share the opening date as soon as it is set. You can join the Riverside interest list or call or text (951) 337-3781, and we’ll reach out the day there’s news.
Why Ask Before You Need the Answer
Your Education Specialist works with a lot of families, and the question that gets answered fastest is the one asked early and clearly. A parent who walks in with specific questions usually leaves with specific answers. A parent who asks “how does this work?” often gets a general reply.
None of this needs us to be open. The paperwork side and the mat side run on separate clocks.
Questions to Bring to Your Specialist
- Is Flow Academy BJJ Riverside already an approved vendor for my school, or do I need to request it?
- Is a monthly class one request, or one request each month?
- Is there a cutoff for next-semester requests?
- Can one request cover more than one child?
- What do you need from the vendor, in writing, before you approve it?
Write the answers down. If your specialist says something different from what you read online, go with your specialist.
What We Can Send You
If your specialist asks for details about the class, we can text or email you the schedule and prices to forward. For reference, Kids BJJ for ages 7 to 9 is $185, $200 or $225 a month depending on a 12-month, 6-month or month-to-month plan. Gi is not included. Little Ninjas and the Kids Combo are priced separately, and we’ll walk you through them.
Military, veteran, college and law-enforcement families get 10% off. Your first class is free.
If Your Charter Isn’t on the List Yet
Ask your Education Specialist how a new vendor request starts. Our charter school page lays out how the process looks from our side, and we’re glad to answer anything your school asks us.
The Schedule, Once We’re Open
Little Ninjas (ages 3 to 6) meet Monday and Wednesday at 3:45 PM. Kids BJJ (7 to 9) is Monday and Wednesday at 4:30 PM, and Youth BJJ (10 to 14) is Monday and Wednesday at 5:30 PM. Youth NoGi/Wrestling (ages 6 and up) is Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM. What kids get from it is confidence, discipline, and a reason to look forward to the afternoon.
Classes are paused during our move to 10081 Indiana Ave, Suite A-1; we will share the opening date as soon as it is set. Call or text (951) 337-3781. If your family can’t wait, our Indio academy is running classes normally.
