Does it fit our day?
The class starts at 11:00 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays — a late-morning break in the middle of the school day, not another evening to drive to.
If 11:00 AM is already spoken for, the same program runs Monday and Wednesday afternoons — Little Ninjas (3–6) 3:45–4:30 PM, Kids BJJ (7–9) 4:30–5:30 PM, Youth BJJ (10–14) 5:30–6:30 PM, Adults BJJ (Gi) 6:30–8:00 PM. Same coaches, same curriculum.
Will our charter funds cover it?
Flow Academy Riverside is an approved charter enrichment vendor with Mission Vista Academy, Excel Academy, and Elite Academic Academy.
Name us as your vendor and your school issues the purchase order. If your charter is not on that list, ask us — new vendor approvals are usually a short form away.
Who is teaching my child?
Zaide Oropeza, Head Instructor.
Classes are grouped by age, technique comes before intensity, and coaches teach — they do not just supervise. Meet them yourself at the free class before you enroll.
What if my child is shy or has never done sports?
That describes most kids on their first day. Beginners are the normal case here, not the exception.
If your child learns or moves differently and needs a slower, quieter start, ask us about Flow Limitless — our adaptive all-abilities class, Saturdays at 11:00 AM.
What do we need to buy?
Nothing to try it. For the free first class, bring comfortable athletic clothing and a water bottle.
Charter enrollment includes a one-time $300 Gi uniform fee, billed separately at enrollment.
What does it cost?
Charter and homeschool families: ask us and your Education Specialist about putting enrichment funds toward it. Charter vendor rates are listed further down this page.

When does it start?
The homeschool class begins in September. Vendor paperwork takes a little lead time, so start it now and be on the mats when your school year gets going.

Our adaptive, all-abilities Jiu-Jitsu class in Riverside. Built for kids and teens who learn and move differently, and for anyone who needs a quieter, slower on-ramp to the mats.

Flow Academy Indio
Closer to the Coachella Valley? Flow Academy Indio runs its own Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu week — plus Muay Thai (kickboxing) for charter and homeschool students — and is a charter vendor too. Its own back-to-school event is coming.
